據(jù)外媒報(bào)道，澳大利亞最大的家禽供應(yīng)商之一百亞達(dá)公司（Baiada）被爆克扣華人員工（大量來(lái)自大陸和臺(tái)灣）工資，已答應(yīng)拿出50萬(wàn)澳元，補(bǔ)發(fā)所有少發(fā)的薪水。調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)一些從中國(guó)大陸和臺(tái)灣來(lái)的員工每日工作達(dá)19個(gè)小時(shí)，卻只獲得11.5澳元的廉價(jià)時(shí)薪。
據(jù)報(bào)道，百亞達(dá)公司是Woolworths和Coles兩家大型超市的最大雞肉供應(yīng)商之一。在經(jīng)調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)該公司的承包商嚴(yán)重剝削員工，他們每日工作19個(gè)小時(shí)，但得到的工資僅是澳大利亞最低時(shí)薪的一半。目前百亞達(dá)公司已拿出50萬(wàn)澳元處理此問(wèn)題。
